The fuel version of the New Chery Tiggo 8 Plus is equipped with Chery's independently developed Kunpeng power system, offering two turbocharged engine options: 1.6T and 2.0T.
1.6T version: It has a maximum power of 145kW (197Ps) and a peak torque of 290N·m, mated with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. This engine adopts the iHEC combustion system and fast-response supercharging technology, with a thermal efficiency of 37.1% and a WLTC combined fuel consumption of only 7.1L/100km.
2.0T version: It delivers a maximum power of 187kW (254Ps) and a peak torque of 390N·m, paired with an 8-speed automatic manual transmission. With a wheel torque of 448N·m, this engine outperforms some joint-venture 2.0T models. It accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in 7.9 seconds, providing ample confidence for overtaking on highways. The WLTC combined fuel consumption is 7.7L/100km.
