The new Hongqi HS3 PHEV sets a new benchmark for compact plug-in hybrid SUVs. Built on the Honghu hybrid platform, it features a 1.5T engine and a 168kW electric motor, delivering a combined system power of 278kW.  The new Hongqi HS3 continues the brand's iconic "high mountain and flowing water" waterfall grille design, with the red flag emblem and hood lines echoing each other, highlighting its luxurious status. The split headlights feature C-shaped LED daytime running lights and adaptive high/low beam main lights, while the fog light area incorporates aerodynamic air intakes to enhance its sporty feel. The side profile features new 20-inch smoked black alloy wheels, paired with an optional black roof to create a two-tone floating roof effect. At the rear, the continuous taillights incorporate the embossed "Hongqi" lettering, automatically flashing at a high frequency when braking, complemented by concealed exhaust pipes and a silver diffuser, resulting in an overall design that combines power and technology.

The interior of the new Hongqi HS3 is centered on a fusion of luxury and technology, offering three color schemes: Graphite Black, Moon White/Blue/Black, and the newly added Pomegranate Red/Black, to meet individual preferences. The center console features a dual-screen setup with a 12.6-inch vertical touchscreen and a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument cluster, supporting four-zone voice interaction for precise control of functions such as air conditioning and navigation. Optimized seats enhance the sense of spaciousness; the driver's seat features 12-way power adjustment, memory function, and easy entry/exit, while the passenger seat has been upgraded to 6-way power adjustment. A 253-color ambient lighting system supports music-themed modes, and a 0.78㎡ panoramic sunroof creates an immersive driving experience.

The new Hongqi HS3 is equipped with a 1.5T plug-in hybrid system based on the Honghu platform. The engine delivers a maximum power of 110kW, the electric motor a maximum power of 168kW, and the system's combined power reaches 278kW, achieving 0-100km/h acceleration in just 7.6 seconds. It features an 18.4kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, offering a pure electric range of 117km (125km for the commemorative edition) under CLTC conditions, and a combined range exceeding 1400km. In fast charging mode, it can charge from 30% to 80% in just 19 minutes and supports a 3.3kW external discharge function to meet outdoor power needs. A new range-extending mode has been added to the driving modes, achieving a WLTC fuel consumption as low as 1.3L/100km, balancing performance and economy. 

 

The new Hongqi HS3 features a comprehensive upgrade in safety configuration, with a standard L2-level driver assistance system covering functions such as full-speed adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, and active braking. The 360-degree panoramic imaging system adds a transparent chassis and distance/color indicators, along with front parking sensors and automatic tilting of the rearview mirrors (passenger side), improving maneuverability in narrow spaces. The body utilizes a cage-like structure with 65% high-strength steel and is equipped with six airbags. The commemorative edition model adds eight ultrasonic radars and seat massage function, along with a lifetime free warranty (including the three-electric system) and roadside assistance, constructing a comprehensive safety protection system from active to passive protection.
