On May 30, the 2026 Geely Cowboy was officially launched. Positioned as an A-segment light off-road SUV, the new model is available in three trim levels: Xunchuan Edition, Zhuyue Edition, and Guanye Edition. As the latest annual update, the 2026 Geely Cowboy receives comprehensive upgrades in intelligent technology and vehicle equipment, further enhancing its competitiveness in the A-segment light off-road SUV segment.
Exterior Design
Rugged Boxy Styling with the New Samurai Black Color Option

The 2026 Geely Cowboy continues its signature boxy, rugged design language. The front fascia features a black grille flanked by split LED headlights, with a full-width LED light bar above and vertically arranged lighting elements below, creating a clean, modern, and highly recognizable appearance. The "GEELY" lettering prominently displayed on the front edge of the hood further reinforces the vehicle's brand identity.
The most notable exterior update for this model year is the introduction of the new Samurai Black paint finish. Combined with an all-black exterior treatment, red brake calipers, and all-terrain (AT) tires, it delivers a bold and aggressive visual presence. Additional color options include Jungle Green, Volcanic Gray, and Snowfield White, catering to the diverse preferences of younger buyers.
The side profile features a floating roof design, complemented by wide-body wheel arches, blackened door handles, and roof rails, enhancing its sporty and adventurous character. The vehicle measures 4,442 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width, and 1,770 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,640 mm.
At the rear, the vehicle is equipped with an externally mounted "Adventure Magic Backpack" storage box that supports wet-and-dry compartment separation, combining practicality with off-road styling. The roof rack system offers 1.3 square meters of cargo space and a maximum load capacity of 50 kg, making it ideal for carrying bicycles, surfboards, camping gear, and other outdoor equipment.
Interior Features
Flyme Auto Smart Cockpit with a New Black-and-Gold Theme

Interior Style
The 2026 Geely Cowboy retains its clean and modern interior design, featuring a 14.6-inch floating central touchscreen and an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster as standard across the lineup. The center console preserves frequently used physical buttons, striking a balance between technological sophistication and ease of operation while driving.
A new Black Gold interior theme has been introduced, combining a black cabin with elegant gold stitching. Premium leather and suede-like materials are thoughtfully integrated, delivering a level of visual and tactile refinement that stands out in its price segment. The 256-color ambient lighting system can synchronize with different driving modes, creating an immersive atmosphere, especially at night.
In-Car Infotainment System
The highlight of the cabin is the Flyme Auto intelligent cockpit system. It supports customizable home screens, full-scenario voice control with visible-to-speak interaction, wake-free voice activation, and multi-turn conversational AI, providing a smooth and intuitive user experience.
Additional smart features include a Bluetooth digital key, Gaode (Amap) navigation with traffic-light countdown functionality, and enhanced connectivity options. Comfort features are equally comprehensive, with a 6-way power-adjustable driver's seat, heated front seats, and automatic climate control all included as standard.

Powertrain & Chassis
1.5T Engine + 7DCT, with a Class-Leading Rear Multi-Link Independent Suspension

Under the hood, the 2026 Geely Cowboy is powered by a 1.5T four-cylinder turbocharged engine, producing 133 kW of maximum power and 290 N·m of peak torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission (7DCT), which delivers gear shifts in as little as 0.2 seconds and achieves a transmission efficiency of up to 98%.
The chassis is arguably one of the vehicle's most compelling highlights. It features a front MacPherson strut suspension and a rear multi-link independent suspension, complemented by RS-valve shock absorbers for enhanced ride quality and handling performance.
In the RMB 80,000 SUV segment, a rear multi-link independent suspension is exceptionally rare, as most competitors still rely on a torsion-beam rear suspension. This advanced chassis setup provides greater stability, improved ride comfort, and better handling confidence, whether navigating city streets, tackling unpaved roads, or covering long highway distances.
Smart Driving
The 2026 Geely Cowboy is equipped with a comprehensive Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (L2 ADAS), featuring functions such as ICC Intelligent Cruise Control, LKA Lane Keeping Assist, ELKA Emergency Lane Keeping Assist, LDW Lane Departure Warning, AEB-P Pedestrian Protection with Automatic Emergency Braking, TSR Traffic Sign Recognition, and IHBC Intelligent High Beam Control.
In addition, it comes with a 540° panoramic camera system, providing exceptional visibility and convenience. Whether for new drivers, navigating narrow urban streets, maneuvering in parking lots, or tackling complex off-road and unpaved-road conditions, these intelligent features offer outstanding practicality and confidence behind the wheel.

The 2026 Geely Cowboy stands out in the A-segment light off-road SUV market with its boxy rugged styling, Flyme Auto intelligent cockpit, rear multi-link independent suspension, and L2 intelligent driving assistance system. These class-above features give it exceptional product competitiveness, making it a model well worth close attention.
