Amid increasingly intense competition in the family SUV market, Li Auto officially unveiled its new flagship SUV-the Li Auto L9-on February 6. Positioned as a full-size SUV for family use, the model has quickly become the center of attention thanks to its comprehensive upgrades in design, interior, and powertrain, and is expected to redefine new standards for family mobility.
Exterior Design
A Fusion of Signature Family Styling and Bold Innovation
The all-new Li Auto L9 continues the brand's signature design language while introducing bold innovations. A newly introduced purple-and-gold two-tone body, reminiscent of stars in the night sky, highlights its luxurious character. The integrated gold accent line along the shoulder flows naturally, enhancing both refinement and individuality.
The tri-color halo light combined with the headlamps delivers a strong sense of technology when illuminated. A side-mounted solid-state LiDAR unit supports advanced intelligent driving while adding a futuristic touch. The 22-inch wheels paired with Michelin PS5 tires create strong visual impact while ensuring stable and comfortable driving. The short front overhang and long rear overhang design give the vehicle well-balanced proportions, presenting an elegant and commanding presence.
Interior Upgrades
Practical Enhancements for an Intelligent Interactive Space
The all-new Li Auto L9 features thoughtful and practical interior upgrades. The interaction screen above the steering wheel has been removed and replaced with backlit physical buttons, making operation more intuitive and convenient while reducing driver distraction. A newly added dual wireless charging panel meets the charging needs of multiple electronic devices, making travel more convenient.
The five-screen interactive system is a major highlight of the cabin. The steering interaction display, HUD, central control screen, front passenger entertainment screen, and rear entertainment screen each serve distinct roles and support multitasking. The 15.7-inch OLED central display features 3K resolution, 800 nits of brightness, and TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification, ensuring clear visibility during the day and eye comfort at night while delivering an immersive interactive experience.
Power Performance

The all-new Li Auto L9 is equipped with a next-generation range-extended powertrain, combining a 1.5T inline four-cylinder engine with dual front and rear electric motors. The system delivers a total output of 330 kW (479 Ps) and peak torque of 620 N·m. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is achieved in around 5.2 seconds, with quick and linear power delivery that easily handles urban stop-and-go traffic and high-speed overtaking.
In terms of range, the battery pack-exceeding 70 kWh-enables a pure electric driving range expected to surpass 400 km, leading its class. In range-extended mode, the combined range exceeds 1,315 km. It also supports 4C ultra-fast charging, adding up to 280 km of range in just 10 minutes, effectively easing range anxiety.

Suspension
In terms of handling, the all-new Li Auto L9 delivers outstanding performance. The combination of an 800V fully active suspension and a fully drive-by-wire chassis represents a perfect blend of luxury and advanced technology. The 800V active suspension supports independent four-wheel height adjustment, automatically adapting suspension height and stiffness based on road conditions and driving modes, ensuring a smooth ride on both rough mountain roads and flat highways.
Chassis
The fully drive-by-wire chassis integrates steer-by-wire and rear-wheel steering systems, offering extremely fast response. Steer-by-wire enables precise and flexible control, while rear-wheel steering reduces the turning radius, making narrow roads and parking maneuvers much easier. Balancing stability and agility, it marks an evolution from "human-driven" to "human–machine co-driving" dynamics.
