Chery Fulwin X3 Series: Opening a New Chapter in New Energy Box

On August 16, Chery launched the Fulwin X3 series with the Fulwin X3 and Fulwin X3 PLUS models, with the former available in three versions and the latter in four. The Fulwin X3L, an extended-range boxy model, will debut at the Chengdu Auto Show on August 29. The revamped iCAR 03 series into the Fengyun lineup, renamed the Fulwin X3 family, is a significant step for Chery to deepen its market segmentation and optimize its product portfolio.

1.  Personalized appearance, reshaping aesthetics

The "box-like" design is both rugged, retro, and stylish. The front fascia features bold lines, a black through-panel with the "CHERY" logo, and vertical LED lights and a bold grille, accentuating its rugged character. The rugged front bumper, with matte trim and rectangular air intakes, enhances its power, while the hood ribs reinforce its rugged presence.

A continuous waistline adds depth to the side, while wide fenders, off-road wheels, and black side skirts accentuate the muscular silhouette. The floating roof, smoked pillars, and concealed door handles add a stylish touch. At the rear, smoked taillights and two-stage brake lights echo the front fascia. A side-opening tailgate allows for easy access, while a roof rack, high-mounted brake light, and an external "small backpack" enhance storage and its off-road appeal.

The Fulwin X3 measures 4327mm in length, 1910mm in width, and 1715mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2715mm. The Fulwin X3 PLUS extends to a slender 4433mm, equipped with 245/55 R19 tires and available in a variety of colors.

2. All-aluminum body, both technological and performance

Produced on the same production line as Chery Jaguar Land Rover, it features the same cast aluminum H-arm rear suspension as the million-dollar Defender and boasts all-aluminum safety technology. The interior is simple and elegant, maintaining a mechanical feel. The straight lines of the center console, along with vertical air vents and grab handles, enhance the off-road atmosphere.

The full LCD instrument panel and floating 2.5K 15.6-inch central control screen are standard, equipped with the Snapdragon 8155 chip and support features such as Sentry Mode. The three-spoke steering wheel and hand-shift lever are easy to operate, with soft-touch material upholstery for enhanced comfort, and a 50W wireless charging panel adds convenience.

The all-aluminum body and hollow cast aluminum H-arm rear suspension are standard. The all-aluminum multi-cavity cage body has a torsional rigidity of 31,812 Nm/deg. Built in the Wuhu Smart Factory, it is lightweight, resilient, and has excellent energy absorption, ensuring safety. The Falcon 500 Intelligent Driving System in the Fulwin X3 PLUS enables a variety of navigation and parking scenarios, providing an excellent driving experience.

3. Strong outdoor capabilities and many modification options

In terms of powertrain, the pure electric model is available in single and dual motor versions. The single-motor version of the Fulwin X3 boasts a maximum power of 185 kW, while the all-wheel-drive dual-motor version of the Fulwin X3 PLUS boasts a maximum power of 255 kW. Powered by a 68.36 kWh battery, it offers a maximum range of 520 km. The Fulwin X3 PLUS features nine driving modes and can perform extreme U-turns, enabling seamless transitions between urban and rural travel.

To meet individual needs, a wide range of factory-installed eco-modification options is available, including a roof platform and an onboard drone interface. It also offers a 1.6-ton factory trailer qualification for expanded outdoor use.

4. Improve the layout to meet diverse needs

The iCAR03 series has been upgraded to the Fulwin X3 series, complementing the Fengyun brand's "pure electric + hybrid + extended-range" new energy ecosystem. The expanded product line includes a more compact model to meet diverse user needs and provide a multi-dimensional experience.
