On February 24, 2026, GAC Toyota officially launched the all-new Wildlander AIR Edition, introducing two variants: a 2.0L gasoline version and a 2.0L hybrid version. As the entry-level model in the lineup, the AIR Edition adopts a "high specifications from the start" strategy, directly addressing the core needs of family users for high value with a low entry threshold.
Exterior Design
Rugged aesthetics combined with practical design, balancing urban and outdoor scenarios
The all-new Wildlander AIR Edition continues the rugged DNA of Toyota's TNGA architecture. Guided by the "Life is Adventure" design philosophy, it presents a visual language that blends a strong sense of power with everyday practicality.

Front Fascia
Features a borderless honeycomb grille paired with "C"-shaped LED daytime running lights, enhancing its sporty and distinctive appearance.

Body Proportions
With a length of 4,600 mm, a width of 1,855 mm, and a height of 1,680 mm, along with a 2,690 mm wheelbase, the vehicle offers class-leading space. The cargo area supports flexible expansion, meeting the needs of family travel and light hauling.

Detail Upgrades
Newly introduced 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and power-folding, heated exterior mirrors enhance both practicality and refinement. Dual-tone exterior color options are also available to satisfy the personalized tastes of younger users.
Premium Interior
High-spec experience from the entry level, with comprehensive upgrades in comfort and technology
The all-new Wildlander AIR Edition completely breaks the industry's long-standing notion of a "bare-bones entry model" by making features once exclusive to mid- and high-trim versions standard across the range, creating a premium, class-above cabin experience.
Materials & Craftsmanship
Standard premium leather seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel across all variants offer a refined touch and excellent support, reducing fatigue during long-distance driving.
Intelligent Interaction
A 14-inch floating central touchscreen supports Apple, Android, and Huawei smartphone connectivity, delivering smooth and responsive performance while addressing the traditional shortcomings of joint-venture infotainment ecosystems.
Ambience & Convenience
64-color adjustable ambient lighting, 50W wireless fast charging, and dual-zone automatic climate control strike a balance between technological flair and everyday practicality.
Refined Quietness
Through reinforced body structures and upgraded sound-insulating materials, wind and road noise are significantly reduced, delivering highway-level cabin quietness comparable to that of luxury brands.

Powertrain Performance
LSD differential delivers "two-wheel drive that outperforms four-wheel drive"
The all-new Wildlander AIR Edition offers both 2.0L gasoline and 2.0L hybrid powertrains, balancing fuel efficiency and performance, with core mechanical capabilities fully upgraded.

Gasoline Version
Equipped with a 2.0L naturally aspirated engine (126 kW) paired with a CVT, achieving a WLTC combined fuel consumption of 6.29 L/100 km, providing smooth and economical city commuting.

Hybrid Version
Features a 2.0L petrol-electric hybrid system (combined power 144 kW + 83 kW electric motor), with a WLTC combined fuel consumption of only 4.59 L/100 km and a single-tank range exceeding 1,000 km, significantly reducing running costs.

Class-Leading Features
All variants come standard with an LSD limited-slip differential, which intelligently distributes torque between the left and right front wheels in real time, enhancing traction and stability on slippery or muddy roads. Even the two-wheel-drive version can handle light off-road conditions.
Intelligent Features
Safety systems leading its class among gasoline-powered vehicles

The all-new Wildlander AIR Edition is equipped with Toyota's latest TSS 4.0 Intelligent Safety System, offering "class-leading" intelligence among gasoline vehicles to provide comprehensive safety protection in all driving scenarios.
Full-Speed Adaptive Cruise Control: Supports 0–180 km/h following, automatically adjusting speed and distance to reduce fatigue during highway driving.
Lane Keeping & Centering: Uses cameras to detect lane lines and automatically corrects steering, minimizing the risk of drifting.
Active Safety: Features such as forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, and rear cross-traffic alert help reduce the likelihood of accidents.
Intelligent Parking: Supports automatic parking in vertical, parallel, and angled spaces, enabling even novice drivers to handle tight spots with ease.
The 2026 Wildlander AIR Edition does not chase flashy, impractical features or blindly pursue extreme acceleration. Instead, it focuses on providing family users with a stable and reliable core powertrain, spacious and comfortable interiors, economical and worry-free fuel consumption, and comprehensive standard safety features.
