On December 2nd, the highly anticipated GWM POER Mountain Edition was officially launched, offering four configurations with affordable prices and excellent performance, providing a new choice for off-road enthusiasts and those with specific work needs.

The GWM POER Mountain Edition continues the family's rugged style, specifically designed for complex terrain. The off-road Cannon Mountain Edition is equipped with a metal racing front bumper, a snorkel on the right A-pillar, off-road side steps, and 18-inch all-terrain tires, giving it a wild and rugged look, as if ready to conquer mountains at any moment. The commercial Cannon Mountain Edition is more practical, featuring a simple steel bumper and side steps, focusing on improving load-bearing capacity and practicality. In terms of dimensions, the commercial Cannon measures 5413 mm in length, 1883 mm in width, and 1882 mm in height, while the off-road Cannon, equipped with a wider off-road kit, measures 5444 mm, 1958 mm, and 1893 mm. Both have a wheelbase of 3230 mm, ensuring ample interior space and a considerable cargo box capacity, balancing its utility and lifestyle attributes. In addition, the off-road mountain version's 30-degree approach angle, 26-degree departure angle, and 228 mm minimum ground clearance make it more than capable of handling complex terrain.

A dual-screen system consisting of a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument panel and a 14.6-inch floating central control screen clearly and intuitively presents vehicle information and entertainment functions. Meanwhile, the center console retains numerous physical buttons and knobs, facilitating blind operation during bumpy rides and enhancing driving safety. The powertrain is a major highlight of the GWM POER Mountain Edition. It offers two powertrain options: a 2.4T turbocharged diesel and a 2.0T turbocharged gasoline. The 2.4T diesel engine delivers a maximum power of 137 kW and a peak torque of 480 Nm, providing ample low-end torque. Specifically optimized for high-altitude, oxygen-deficient environments, it features a high-efficiency VGT turbocharger and an optimized intake and cooling system, maintaining a stable torque output of 400 Nm even at an altitude of 4700 meters. It is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. The 2.0T gasoline engine delivers a maximum power of 160 kW and a peak torque of 380 Nm, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. A 6-speed manual transmission is also available on some models, catering to different user needs.
