On January 10, 2026, BYD officially announced the launch of the 2026 Song Pro DM-i Long-Range Edition, introducing two trim levels. The new model features a 220-km pure electric range, the DiSus-C intelligent suspension system, and an advanced intelligent driving system as its key upgrades. Positioned to compete head-on with rivals such as the Geely Galaxy Starship 7 EM-i and the Changan UNI-Z PHEV, it aims to redefine the value benchmark for plug-in hybrid SUVs in the RMB 100,000 price segment.
Exterior Design

A Refreshed Classic with a Distinctive Two-Tone Look
The BYD Song Pro DM-i Long-Range Edition continues the brand's signature "Dragon Face 3.0" design language, featuring a bold yet fluid overall silhouette with sporty details throughout. Up front, an active air intake grille is paired with sharp LED headlamps and a full-width chrome accent, visually enhancing the vehicle's width.
Along the sides, a floating roof design and a continuous character line add depth and layering, while traditional door handles balance practicality and aesthetics. At the rear, a full-width smoked taillight strip, a subtle ducktail spoiler, and a lower bumper with an integrated silver skid plate deliver a strong sporty presence.
Two new exterior colors-Galaxy Beige and Emerald Peak Green-join the existing four options, catering to a wider range of aesthetic preferences. In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4735/1860/1690 mm (L/W/H) with a 2712 mm wheelbase, ensuring a spacious and comfortable cabin for both drivers and passengers.
Vehicle interior
a blend of technology and comfort, with a refrigerator as a highlight

The interior layout of the Song Pro DM-i Long-Range Edition maintains a clean, tech-oriented design. The center console features a 12.8-inch or optional 15.6-inch floating touchscreen, paired with an embedded full digital instrument cluster and a column-mounted gear selector, delivering both ease of operation and a refined tactile feel. Soft-touch materials are extensively used throughout the cabin, complemented by metallic trim and ambient lighting to create a sense of luxury beyond its class.
In terms of equipment, the new model introduces an integrated hot-and-cold refrigerator with an adjustable temperature range from –6°C to 50°C, catering to the storage needs of family travel. Mid- and high-trim variants are equipped with the DiSus-C intelligent damping body control system and the DiSus preview system, which adjust suspension stiffness in real time by sensing road conditions, balancing ride comfort and handling stability. In addition, features such as a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, and rear air vents come standard across the entire lineup, delivering a comprehensively upgraded user experience down to the smallest details.
Power Performance
220 km Pure Electric Range with Fuel Consumption as Low as 3.2 L/100 km

The Song Pro DM-i Long-Range Edition is equipped with a 26.6 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack, delivering a CLTC-rated pure electric range of 220 km-an increase of over 50% compared to the previous generation-enough to cover a full week of commuting with zero fuel consumption.
It pairs with BYD's fifth-generation DM-i plug-in hybrid system, where a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine (maximum power 74 kW) works in tandem with an electric motor (maximum power 120 kW), producing a combined system output of 160 kW. This enables a 0–100 km/h acceleration in 8.5 seconds.
Thanks to the highly efficient hybrid architecture, the vehicle achieves a fuel consumption of only 3.2 L/100 km under depleted battery conditions, while offering a total range exceeding 1,600 km, balancing economy with long-distance capability.
For charging, the Song Pro DM-i supports 54 kW DC fast charging-reaching 30% to 80% in just 17 minutes-and 7 kW AC slow charging, covering a variety of charging scenarios for convenient daily use.
Intelligent Driving
DiPilot 100 Now More Accessible with High-Speed Navigation and Automated Parking

The mid- and high-trim variants of the Song Pro DM-i Long-Range Edition are equipped with the DiPilot 100 driver-assistance system, featuring 5 millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic sensors, and 12 high-definition cameras, all powered by the NVIDIA DRIVE Orin N chip with a computing capability of 254 TOPS.
The system supports High-Speed Navigation Assist (HNOA), enabling automatic lane changes, intelligent speed control, and lane-centering. Its automatic parking function covers all scenarios, including perpendicular, parallel, and angled parking, making it easy even for novice drivers. In addition, the full-scenario Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) can detect pedestrians, vehicles, and two-wheeled vehicles, significantly reducing the risk of collisions.
Safety Performance
For the first time in the RMB 100,000 price segment, the Song Pro DM-i Long-Range Edition brings the TBC High-Speed Tire Burst Control system to market. In the event of a sudden tire blowout, the system coordinates the drive wheels and braking system to respond within milliseconds, suppressing vehicle deviation and assisting braking to reduce risk.
Together with 6 airbags, tire pressure monitoring, and the ESP vehicle stability system, it creates a comprehensive safety network that spans from active warnings to passive protection.

In December 2025, the Song Pro DM series achieved 18,373 units sold, maintaining a leading position in the plug-in hybrid compact SUV segment. With the launch of the Long-Range Edition, featuring comprehensive upgrades in range, intelligence, and safety, and alongside the continuing growth of new energy vehicle market penetration, the Song Pro DM-i Long-Range Edition is expected to further strengthen BYD's dominance in the RMB 100,000 price segment and accelerate the replacement of traditional fuel vehicles.
