The 2026 XPENG G9 continues the brand's signature design language. With dimensions of 4,891 × 1,937 × 1,670 mm and a 2,998 mm wheelbase, it conveys a strong and composed presence befitting a midsize-to-large SUV. Frameless doors, hidden door handles, and a full-width LED light strip come as standard, while the split headlight design integrates both low and high beams, significantly enhancing nighttime illumination and visual recognition.

A new matte-finish "Crescent Silver" color has been added, joining Midnight Black, Nebula White, and Interstellar Green to offer four exterior color options that cater to diverse aesthetic preferences. Customers can also opt for 21-inch low-drag wheels and a blacked-out exterior package to further emphasize the vehicle's sporty character.

A Deep Integration of Luxury and Intelligence

Inside the cabin, the 2026 XPENG G9 features extensive soft-touch leather surfaces combined with a microfiber suede headliner, delivering a refined and premium tactile experience. Nappa leather seats come standard with heating, ventilation, and 10-point massage functions for the front seats, while the rear seat backrests support electric adjustment from 27° to 37°, offering comfort comparable to that of luxury brands.

The intelligent cockpit is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon SA8295P chipset, providing up to 30 TOPS of computing power. Paired with dual 14.96-inch 2.4K connected displays and a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument cluster, overall system responsiveness is improved by 30%. A newly added digital streaming rearview mirror delivers a clearer and wider field of vision. The Xopera audio system is upgraded with AI-enhanced sound tuning and immersive surround sound modes (available via OTA updates), creating a theater-level audiovisual experience. The infotainment system supports 5G connectivity and full-scenario voice interaction, seamlessly covering navigation, entertainment, and vehicle control needs.

Power Performance

 800V High-Voltage Platform with Industry-Leading Charging Efficiency

G6-10

The 2026 Xpeng G9 powertrain is offered in both single-motor rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) versions:

>> RWD version: Motor output of 258 kW, CLTC range of 625 km (standard version) and 725 km (long-range version), meeting the needs of daily commuting and long-distance travel.

>> AWD version: Combined output of 423 kW, peak torque of 695 N·m, 0–100 km/h acceleration in just 4.2 seconds, and a range of 680 km, offering a balance of performance and endurance.

All models come standard with an 800V high-voltage SiC platform. The standard version supports a peak charging power of 445 kW, while other versions reach 530 kW, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in as little as 12 minutes and compatible with mainstream ultra-fast charging networks. Coupled with an intelligent battery thermal management system, the vehicle can operate stably in extreme temperatures from –30°C to 50°C, ensuring battery safety and long-lasting performance.

Intelligent Driving

End-to-End Large Model, Seamless Full-Scenario Experience

G6-13

Intelligent driving is the core of this upgrade.

>> Hardware: The 2026 Xpeng G9 is equipped across all models with a Turing AI chip delivering 750 TOPS of computing power, supporting the second-generation VLA (Visual-Language-Action) architecture.

>> Software: An end-to-end large model has been introduced, making decision-making logic more human-like. Full-scenario intelligent driving is upgraded to "park-to-park" navigation assistance, covering parking lots, urban roads, and highways, reducing the frequency of user intervention.

The vehicle supports City NOA functionality, automatically performing lane changes, overtaking, and on/off ramp maneuvers. It also adds automatic emergency steering for obstacle avoidance and run-flat stability control. Combined with the upgraded AEB system (with braking speed limit increased to 130 km/h), it effectively mitigates high-speed risks.

Human-Machine Interaction: Voice command response speed is improved by 50%, visual prompts are more intuitive, and the shared driving trust experience is significantly enhanced.

Comprehensive Protection for a Secure Barrier

The 2026 Xpeng G9 features a high-strength steel–aluminum hybrid body structure, paired with 9 standard airbags across all models, creating an all-around passive safety system.

Active safety has been enhanced with blind-spot monitoring, door-opening warning, and rear collision warning, covering both low-speed and high-speed scenarios.

For battery safety, the vehicle is equipped with a BMS intelligent management system, providing 24/7 real-time monitoring, and the battery pack is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance, ensuring stability even in extreme conditions.

The 2026 Xpeng G9 adopts a "high specs at a lower price" strategy, bringing premium technologies such as an 800V high-voltage platform, end-to-end intelligent driving, and a luxury interior into the RMB 250,000 segment, creating clear differentiation and competitive pressure on rivals like the Tesla Model Y and Li Auto L6. As the 800V charging ecosystem continues to mature and intelligent driving regulations gradually open up, the G9 is well positioned to leverage its early technological advantages and emerge as a new benchmark in the midsize-to-large pure electric SUV market.
