On November 10, 2025, Chery Automobile's fifth-generation Tiggo 8, a luxury five-seater family SUV under its new fuel strategy in China, was officially launched in Beijing. With its champion strength, hardcore technology and electric experience, it brings a brand-new travel option to family users.

With its "dual front fascia" design, the tiger and leopard versions each have their own appeal.
As China's first global car featuring an "electrifying experience" with its new gasoline-powered engine, the Tiggo 8 continues the dual-front-face design, offering two styling options: the "Tiger" and the "Leopard." The Tiger version adopts a grand and stable approach, with a large chrome grille and integrated headlights; the Leopard version is more youthful, with split headlights and a smaller grille, and the rear bumper features a simulated air intake design. The Tiger version's regal presence and the Leopard version's agile stance cater to different user aesthetic preferences. The 2825mm wheelbase, coupled with an exceptionally high space utilization rate of 84% and 970mm of rear legroom, creates a comfortable experience akin to a spacious family home.
The new Tiggo 8's body length has been extended to over 4.7 meters, and the wheelbase has increased from 2710mm to 2825mm, jumping directly from the entry-level size of a mid-size SUV to a standard size. With a standard 5-seat layout, rear passenger space should no longer be a weakness.

The Tiggo 8 comes standard with a vehicle-grade 8155 chip, paired with a 15.6-inch 2.5K high-definition cinematic screen (Tiger model) or a 13.2-inch intelligent navigation screen (Leopard model). Its AI language model supports four-zone interaction and dialect recognition, while seamless integration with other smartphones and 50W wireless charging ensures a superior intelligent experience. ENC active noise cancellation, 63 acoustic features, and double-layered laminated soundproof glass create a quiet cabin environment, while thoughtful features such as an electric beach chair mode, a 15kg load-bearing table, and an active fragrance system enhance the enjoyment of family trips.
Starting with the Luxury model, features like L2-level intelligent driving, an electric tailgate, and a panoramic sunroof are gradually added. The Premium model adds ventilated and heated seats with driver's seat massage. The top-of-the-line Flagship model boasts a Queen's Seat, a small table, knee airbags, multi-zone voice control, and an air fragrance system, making it truly comprehensive.

Built on Chery's new intelligent T-platform for fuel-powered vehicles, the fifth-generation Tiggo 8 embodies the wisdom of Chery's global R&D system, incorporating five global technological achievements and undergoing rigorous global testing. It features the most powerful 1.6T Kunpeng engine ever, delivering a maximum power of 147kW and a peak torque of 310N・m, paired with a 7DCT dual-clutch automatic transmission. With a 0.2s shift speed and over 98% transmission efficiency, it brings racing-level performance to everyday life. The entire vehicle utilizes 80% high-strength steel and aluminum body panels, with key components equipped with 1500MPa hot-formed steel. Its class-leading 8-airbag system includes remote and knee airbags, and a 2012mm full-length side curtain airbag with 6-second long-lasting pressure retention provides rock-solid protection for the whole family.

Safety is the ultimate luxury embodied in the fifth-generation Tiggo 8. It adopts a "rock-solid body" structure, with 20% of key components made of 1500MPa hot-formed steel, and a total of 80% high-strength steel and aluminum throughout the vehicle. Furthermore, the new car is equipped with the only eight airbags in its class, including a remote airbag, knee airbag, and 2012mm extra-long side curtain airbags, meeting five-star safety standards in seven major global markets, thus constructing a comprehensive safety protection system.
