As an updated model, the 2026 Li Auto L9 does not undergo a dramatic exterior redesign. Instead, it focuses on refining key details. For example, the signature Star Ring light bar is now more seamlessly integrated into the front fascia and features a new three-color lighting design, enhancing both its technological appeal and premium look when illuminated. Meanwhile, the front bumper has been redesigned, replacing the full-width styling of the previous model with a cleaner, narrower design that gives the front end a more upright and sophisticated appearance.

In terms of exterior features, the new model introduces automatic power doors. The vehicle can automatically open the door when it detects the driver approaching, and if it recognizes that you're carrying luggage, it can also automatically open the tailgate-providing a hands-free experience much like having a personal chauffeur.

In addition, the new L9 offers an optional electric tow hitch, allowing it to tow camping trailers, caravans, and other recreational equipment, further expanding its versatility for outdoor lifestyles. However, one practical feature from the previous model-the power-deployable side steps-is no longer included as standard equipment, which is a slight disappointment.

In terms of dimensions, the new model measures 5,255 mm in length, 2,000 mm in width, and 1,810 mm in height, with a 3,125 mm wheelbase. The centerpiece is a new 29-inch 6K central display, replacing the previous dual-screen setup. With its higher resolution and larger display area, it delivers sharper visuals, a more immersive user experience, and a cleaner, more modern cockpit layout. At the same time, the infotainment system is now powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8797 Elite chipset, offering smoother interface operation, faster app loading, and more responsive voice interactions.

Comfort has also been further enhanced. The new model adds heated headrests for both the front and second-row seats, while the front seats and the left-side second-row seat have been upgraded to Zero-Gravity seats, providing a more relaxed and ergonomic seating experience on long journeys.

In terms of the powertrain, the 2026 Li Auto L9 is equipped with an all-new 5C range-extender system, consisting of a next-generation 1.5T engine paired with electric motors. Although the engine displacement remains unchanged, its maximum output has been increased to 115 kW, while the electric motors deliver a combined power output of 420 kW and a peak torque of 710 N·m.

Meanwhile, the CLTC pure electric range has been extended to 420 km, making it more practical for everyday use.

Notably, the new model features an 800V active suspension system, where all four wheels can be independently adjusted in height. This allows the vehicle to effectively reduce nose dive during braking and body roll when cornering, significantly improving both stability and ride comfort.
