On June 29, BYD's mobility-focused sub-brand Linghui Auto officially launched its flagship MPV, the Linghui M9. As the brand's third production model, the new vehicle is positioned as a mid-to-large plug-in hybrid business MPV, targeting diverse scenarios such as business reception, government and corporate commuting, and multi-passenger family travel.
Built on BYD's mature fifth-generation DM hybrid system, the model features a commanding exterior design, highly flexible and spacious interior layout, a full suite of comfort-focused cabin features, an advanced intelligent system covering all scenarios, and five-star safety protection. It aims to deliver a new energy MPV that combines durability with low running costs.
Exterior Design
Refined Business Styling with Practical Body Layout
The Linghui M9 adopts a clean and upright business-oriented design language. The front end features a large-sized grille with well-proportioned, streamlined lines, creating a dignified and professional presence suitable for business scenarios.
On the side profile, it is equipped with a combination of standard doors and dual electric sliding doors, offering both a sense of occasion and enhanced convenience when entering and exiting the vehicle. It rides on 235/60 R18 wheels, ensuring strong driving stability.
The vehicle measures 5,200 × 1,970 × 1,805 mm with a 3,045 mm wheelbase, featuring a 2+2+3 seven-seat layout. The extended body improves third-row legroom while balancing full-passenger capacity and large luggage storage needs. The rear design is clean and straightforward, combining executive-level elegance with everyday practicality.
Interior Configuration
All-Cabin Comfort Seating with Flexible Storage Space
The Linghui M9 cabin is designed with a strong focus on full-passenger comfort, offering comprehensive seat functionality throughout the vehicle.
The front seats come equipped with ventilation, heating, a four-way electric lumbar support system, and massage functionality for the driver. The second-row independent "aviation-style" seats integrate ventilation, heating, multi-level massage functions, and electric leg rests. They also support one-touch relaxation mode and seat memory, making them the core comfort zone for business travel and executive reception.
All three rows of seats can be fully folded in a 4:6 split configuration, allowing the trunk capacity to flexibly expand from 470L to 2,036L. With all seats in use, it can accommodate business luggage; when the rear rows are folded down, it can store camping gear and large cargo, making it highly adaptable to various scenarios such as business reception, long-distance travel, and cargo transportation.
Powertrain & Range
Fifth-Generation DM Super Hybrid with Long Range and Low Energy Consumption
The Linghui M9 is equipped with BYD's Fifth-Generation DM Super Hybrid system, paired with a high-efficiency 1.5T dedicated hybrid engine and a high-output electric motor. It also features a 26.6 kWh Blade LFP battery pack.
The vehicle delivers strong all-electric range performance under WLTC conditions, while the combined driving range (full tank + full charge) reaches up to 1,105 km. Its NEDC battery-depleted fuel consumption is as low as 4.95 L/100 km, with a top speed of 190 km/h.
This hybrid system is perfectly suited for high-frequency usage scenarios. It enables pure electric driving for short urban trips to reduce energy consumption, while eliminating frequent refueling or recharging for intercity travel. Even under full passenger load, high-speed cruising, or mountain driving, the power delivery remains smooth and stable, significantly lowering long-term operating costs for both business and family use.

DiLink 100 Full-Scenario Connectivity with Advanced Driver Assistance
The Linghui M9 is equipped with the DiLink 100 intelligent cockpit system, designed to simplify redundant operations while optimizing user experience for high-frequency MPV usage scenarios.
It features physical multifunction control buttons, high-definition panoramic imaging, and direct tire pressure monitoring, making narrow-road driving and parking maneuvers easier and more precise in judging vehicle distance.
The infotainment system supports full-scenario zoned intelligent voice control, and is compatible with multiple smartphone connectivity protocols including ICCOA Carlink, Huawei HiCar, and Honor Car Connect, enabling seamless cross-brand integration for navigation and multimedia functions.
At the same time, it is equipped with the DiPilot 100 intelligent driver assistance system, featuring highway navigation assist that effectively reduces fatigue during long-distance driving.
Safety Performance
High-Rigidity Cage Body with Nine-Airbag Protection System
High-strength cage-like structure
The Linghui M9 adopts a high-strength cage body structure specifically designed for plug-in hybrid vehicles. The front end is equipped with a high-strength aluminum crash beam, while the rear features a hot-formed steel crash beam. Reinforced aluminum alloy sill beams are also added to the door sills. Together, these structural enhancements efficiently disperse impact forces during a collision and reduce cabin deformation.
Nine airbags
In terms of passive safety, the vehicle comes standard with nine airbags, including a front-row far-side airbag, providing full coverage for all three seating rows. This ensures comprehensive protection for both front occupants and rear passengers, including elderly and children. It is designed to meet the dual safety requirements of both high-frequency commercial operation and full-family travel scenarios.
