In the new-energy mid-to-large MPV segment, the GAC Trumpchi M8 Xiangwang has attracted widespread attention thanks to its strong overall performance. On December 30, the 2026 GAC Trumpchi M8 Xiangwang was officially launched, introducing three newly added configuration variants. As an annual facelift model, the new vehicle has been optimized and upgraded across multiple dimensions, delivering enhanced product strength to better meet consumers' expectations for a high-quality MPV.
Vehicle Exterior
Grand Presence with High Recognizability
As a newly added variant, the 2026 Trumpchi M8 Xiangwang retains the exterior design of the current model. The large-scale grille delivers a commanding presence, occupying nearly two-thirds of the front fascia. Its design bears some resemblance to the spindle-style elements of the Toyota Alphard, and when paired with the sharp, forward-focused headlights, it creates an imposing and authoritative visual impact.
The vehicle measures 5,217 (5,251) mm in length, 1,893 mm in width, and 1,823 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,070 mm, positioning it firmly in the mid-to-large MPV segment. The expansive and elegant body profile, combined with features such as 18-inch wheels, dual power sliding doors, multi-layer sound-insulating glass for both front and rear side windows, rear privacy glass, and manual sunshades, strikes a balance between premium appeal and everyday practicality.

The intelligent cockpit experience has been comprehensively upgraded, with the newly added power-adjustable third-row seats and an intelligent welcome projection system enhancing both comfort and a sense of ceremony for every journey.
One of the key highlights is the latest HarmonySpace 5 smart cockpit system. Its intelligent voice interaction enables commands to be executed instantly with a single phrase, making operation intuitive and efficient. The system supports seven-screen collaboration and, combined with a wide range of smart scenario modes, transforms the cabin into a highly connected mobile smart hub. In addition, the vehicle offers deep integration with smart home ecosystems and supports one-touch connectivity with smartphones from multiple brands, seamlessly extending smart mobility into everyday life.
In terms of comfort, the Qiankun Edition is equipped with five-star SPA dual zero-gravity seats. Leveraging four world-first technologies and seven segment-leading configurations, the seating experience evolves from "comfortable" to "even more comfortable and healthier." The 24-point full-body SPA massage system incorporates multiple professional therapy techniques, complemented by 270° wraparound heating to deliver a premium, spa-level experience. The power-adjustable third-row seats allow flexible seating positions, while one-touch electric folding further expands cargo space when needed.

The 2026 Trumpchi M8 Xiangwang HarmonySpace cockpit variants are equipped with the ADiGO Pilot driver assistance system, featuring a transparent chassis with a 540-degree panoramic view, full-speed adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, front and rear collision warnings, and lane-keeping assistance.
The Qiankun Max Luxury Cabin and Qiankun Ultra First-Class Cabin variants are fitted with LiDAR and powered by Huawei's Qiankun Intelligent Driving ADS system. Beyond core driver assistance functions, the system also supports highway NOA (Navigation on Autopilot) and multi-scenario parking assistance, providing comprehensive protection and enhanced driving safety.

Plug-in Hybrid Performance, Worry-Free Range
The 2026 Trumpchi M8 Xiangwang is powered by a plug-in hybrid system combining a 2.0T engine with a front-mounted electric motor. The system delivers a combined maximum output of 300 kW and peak torque of 645 N·m, with an official 0–100 km/h acceleration time of 8 seconds.
Under the CLTC cycle, it offers a pure electric range of up to 248 km, ideal for short- and mid-distance daily driving. Its WLTC-rated combined driving range reaches 1,177 km, effectively eliminating range anxiety on long journeys. The vehicle is equipped with CATL Xiaoyao extended-range ternary lithium battery packs with a capacity of 44.5 kWh. Fast charging from 30% to 80% takes just 14 minutes.
All variants come standard with a 6 kW vehicle-to-load (V2L) power output function, while the chassis suspension also supports adjustable stiffness, further enhancing ride comfort and driving stability.
Safety Performance
Comprehensive Protection for Peace of Mind
In terms of safety, the 2026 Trumpchi M8 Xiangwang builds a full-spectrum defense system that integrates both active and passive protection. On the active safety front, the CAS 4.0 All-Dimensional Collision Avoidance System can quickly predict risks and take evasive action in extreme scenarios such as children suddenly crossing the road or unexpected "blind-spot intrusions."
For passive safety, the vehicle features an "eight-longitudinal, nineteen-transverse" cage-type body structure, with high-strength steel accounting for up to 85.6% of the body. It also pioneers a 1.5-meter rear window airbag, paired with an ultra-long 6.4-meter side curtain airbag, forming a 360° wraparound airbag matrix to comprehensively protect occupants.
