On June 23, Li Auto officially unveiled the all-new Li Auto L8. The model has evolved from a six-seat layout into a purpose-built flagship five-seat SUV, available in two trims: the Ultra and the Livis.
The new L8 delivers substantial upgrades across five key areas-exterior design, interior comfort, powertrain, intelligent driving technology, and chassis performance. Built on the same advanced platform architecture as the flagship Li Auto L9, it sets a new benchmark for family-oriented SUVs in the RMB 300,000 segment, offering a more refined, spacious, and technology-focused driving experience.
Exterior Design
Inspired by the L9, Refined in Every Detail

The all-new Li Auto L8 adopts a design language closely aligned with the flagship Li Auto L9. It retains the brand's signature full-width LED light bar, while the horizontal character lines on the front fascia have been lowered to create a more planted and sophisticated stance. The front air intake design has also been revised, giving the vehicle a stronger and more premium road presence.
From the side, the L8 features a well-balanced profile with short front overhangs and long rear overhangs, complemented by semi-flush door handles, newly designed alloy wheels, and redesigned exterior mirrors. The result is a harmonious blend of elegance and athleticism.
At the rear, the iconic full-width LED taillight remains, while both the tailgate and rear bumper have been redesigned. The license plate holder has been repositioned onto the tailgate, contributing to a cleaner and more refined appearance.

In terms of dimensions, the new L8 measures 5,135 mm in length, 2,000 mm in width, and 1,800 mm in height, with a 3,045 mm wheelbase. Compared with the previous model, all key dimensions have increased, while the front overhang has been shortened to 945 mm, significantly improving space utilization and interior packaging efficiency.
Customers can choose from six premium single-tone exterior colors-Diamond Black, Pearl White, GT Silver, Glacier Gray, Emerald Green, and Truffle Gold-as well as four exclusive two-tone finishes: Black & Gold, Brown & Gold, Green & Gold, and Purple & Gold, offering a wide range of personalization options.
Interior configuration
Four zero-gravity seats, the only one in its class

Cockpit
The all-new Li L8 interior is aligned with the all-new L9, offering four dual-tone themes: green & white, brown & coffee, gray & purple, and brown & white. The front row removes the instrument cluster behind the steering wheel, and the front passenger gets a 29-inch borderless 6K panoramic screen. The Ultra version is equipped with the Snapdragon 8797 Max, while the Livis version comes with the Snapdragon 8797 Elite. The entire vehicle features 27 speakers and a 47,200W Star Ring theater-grade sound system.
Front Seats
The seats are the biggest highlight-this new model becomes the only five-seat SUV in the industry to come standard with four zero-gravity seats. Both front and rear rows feature zero-gravity seating, supporting a 55-degree recline, "magic carpet" cushioning, and zero-pressure leg rests. The second-row cushions can extend by 37 mm and lift at the rear by 29 mm, and are equipped with comfort headrests, magnetic lumbar pillows, and heated leg rests.

Second Row Seats
The second row also includes tray tables, a 21-inch 4K removable screen, wireless charging, electric sunshades, vanity mirrors, and a 10L hot-and-cold storage box. The trunk offers 820L of cargo capacity with a maximum depth of 1,113 mm, plus an additional 95L lower storage compartment. The second-row seats also support a 40/20/40 folding layout.
Powertrain and Range
5C Extended-Range Technology with Up to 430 km of Electric Range

The all-new Li Auto L8 is powered by Li Auto's self-developed 1.5T range extender, delivering a maximum output of 115 kW. The dual-motor all-wheel-drive system combines a 145 kW front motor and a 275 kW rear motor, producing a total system output of 420 kW and 710 N·m of peak torque, ensuring strong performance and effortless acceleration.
Across the entire lineup, the new L8 comes standard with a 72.7 kWh 5C ternary lithium battery pack, providing a CLTC pure-electric range of up to 430 km and a CLTC combined driving range of 1,670 km, significantly reducing charging and refueling frequency for both daily commuting and long-distance travel.
Fuel efficiency remains impressive even when the battery is depleted. Under the WLTC cycle, fuel consumption is rated at 6.2 L/100 km for the Ultra trim and 6.3 L/100 km for the Livis trim.
Built on an advanced 800V high-voltage fast-charging architecture, the new L8 supports ultra-fast charging, allowing the battery to be replenished from 10% to 80% in just 10 minutes, delivering greater convenience and minimizing downtime on the road.
Advanced Driver Assistance
Up to 2,560 TOPS of Computing Power
The all-new Li Auto L8 offers industry-leading intelligent driving capabilities, with computing power reaching up to 2,560 TOPS.
The Ultra variant is equipped with a single Horizon Robotics Journey M100 chip and one LiDAR sensor, delivering 1,280 TOPS of computing power. The Livis variant takes performance a step further with dual Journey M100 chips and four LiDAR sensors, achieving a total computing power of 2,560 TOPS. Powered by an on-device Embodied AI Foundation Model, the system supports VLA (Vision-Language-Action) full-scenario Navigation on Autopilot (NOA), enabling intelligent assisted driving across a wide range of real-world scenarios. The perception system consists of seven 8-megapixel cameras and four 3-megapixel surround-view cameras, providing comprehensive environmental awareness. It is capable of detecting overhanging obstacles and supports high-speed automatic emergency braking at speeds of up to 130 km/h at night, further enhancing safety and driving confidence.

Chassis Performance
Steer-by-Wire Magic Carpet Suspension and EMB Braking for All-Round Capability

The all-new Li Auto L8 features a sophisticated chassis architecture with a double-wishbone front suspension and a five-link independent rear suspension, delivering an excellent balance of ride comfort and dynamic handling.
The Ultra variant comes equipped with Li Auto's advanced Steer-by-Wire Magic Carpet Chassis, featuring dual-chamber air springs, dual-valve CDC adaptive dampers, steer-by-wire technology, and rear-wheel steering. This setup enables an exceptionally tight 5.1-meter turning radius, making the large SUV remarkably agile in urban environments.
The Livis variant further upgrades the chassis with an 800V active suspension system and an EMB (Electro-Mechanical Brake) brake-by-wire system. The active suspension can provide more than 10,000 N of active support force per wheel, significantly reducing body roll during cornering and enhancing overall vehicle stability. Meanwhile, the EMB braking system delivers faster and more precise brake response, ensuring superior control and confidence in a wide range of driving conditions.
Overall, as a major facelift model, the new Li L8 shows significant improvements in design, powertrain, range, comfort, and technological sophistication. However, its biggest change lies in its positioning: the large five-seat layout creates a dual-flagship lineup alongside the Li L9, filling the gap in Li Auto's high-end portfolio where there was previously no five-seat flagship model.
