On the day of the test drive, the Xiaomi YU7 Max immediately became a street sensation, attracting passersby to stop and take photos. Its family-style design shines again on the Xiaomi YU7. The unique "two-hole" design of the headlights gives the vehicle a distinctive and powerful aura, making it even more visually striking than the SU7. The clamshell front hood, integrated with the front fenders, features electronic opening and voice control, greatly increasing the practicality of the front trunk, which can accommodate a 24-inch suitcase. This innovative design is perfectly showcased on the Xiaomi YU7.

On the side, the Xiaomi YU7 Standard, Pro, and Max versions are all equipped with LiDAR, giving it a truly technological edge. The semi-hidden door handles are innovative and convenient, opening the doors with a simple push. The test drive's optional 21-inch front and rear wheels, paired with 245mm wide front and 275mm rear tires, create a commanding visual presence and turn heads. While the rear end has a slight hunchback and slightly elongated lines, the overall design is highly recognizable, a key feature of the Xiaomi YU7's exterior.

Inside, the Xiaomi YU7's interior is equally striking. The HyperVision Skylight Display, like an enhanced HUD, projects information onto the black border below the glass, minimizing light interference. It comprises three customizable sections: instrument panel, navigation, and passenger screen, offering excellent visual quality. However, the information is difficult to read while wearing polarized sunglasses, a development we hope will be addressed in the future.

The lower screen is powered by the Snapdragon 8Gen3, offering industry-leading performance and display clarity. This improves desktop freedom and allows for a greater number of pinned apps. Xiaomi also claims the 8Gen3 inside the car will pass all automotive-grade tests and guarantee a minimum 10-year lifespan, ensuring peace of mind for consumers.

Two 80W wireless charging pads are located below the screen, offering the highest power in a car, conveniently charging flagship phones. The color-changing skylight above is a pleasant surprise. In blackout mode, the midday sun on a sunny summer day is as soft as a spotlight, and the glass surface is warm but not hot. Unfortunately, this feature is only available on the Max model. The car's expandability has been upgraded, with a 1/4 screw-type power supply. When paired with the Xiaomi wireless charging phone holder, you can wirelessly charge your phone without wiring. The added magnetic position can secure items such as tissue boxes and expansion buttons, bringing great convenience to your daily life.

As a sporty SUV, the Xiaomi YU7 Max delivers impressive performance. With a maximum power of 508kW and a 0-100km/h acceleration of 3.23 seconds, the YU7 Max delivers the same direct, unrestricted power as the SU7 Max, allowing drivers to fully enjoy the driving experience.

 

 

 

The Max version is equipped with closed dual-chamber air springs and CDC, achieving a good balance between comfort and sportiness, and its control of pitch and roll is in the first echelon of SUVs in the same class. Variable steering ratio is standard across the entire series, making the vehicle more flexible at low speeds and easier to navigate on urban roads; it is more stable at high speeds, enhancing driving safety. Xiaomi's tuning is very delicate. However, the 245mm tire width of the front tires reduces the vehicle's limits, making it easy to reach the limit during mountain running. It is recommended that car owners avoid driving this car for extreme mountain running or tracks. In addition, the YU7 Max has excellent front-row sound insulation, but the rear-seat experience is relatively poor, with the sound from the chassis being more noticeable, leaving room for improvement.
