On May 8, GAC Toyota officially launched the 2026 Toyota bZ3X, offering a total of seven variants. As Toyota's best-selling all-electric SUV in China, this facelift adopts a strategy of "more features at the same price," bringing advanced intelligent technologies to entry-level models and redefining the value benchmark of the RMB 100,000-class electric SUV segment.
Exterior Design
Segment-Exclusive Lighting Signature with Exceptional Presence

The 2026 Toyota bZ3X continues Toyota's all-electric "Hi-Tech & Warmth" design philosophy. The front fascia features a full-width starlight light bar, paired with C-shaped styling elements on both sides and 7-shaped split headlight clusters below. The headlights integrate 240 LED light beads, offering a segment-exclusive split-headlight design and seven lighting signature modes, delivering outstanding recognition when illuminated at night.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4600/1850 (1875)/1660 (1645) mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2765 mm, positioning it as a compact SUV. The body adopts a strong and full-bodied silhouette, bearing similarities to the Toyota Highlander, while 19-inch black multi-spoke wheels and hidden door handles create a more premium, above-class visual presence.
The blacked-out B- and C-pillars further enhance the upscale appearance. At the rear, a full-width taillight design echoes the front styling, while the 7-shaped air guide elements on both sides and the upper diffuser add rich visual layering and a sporty character.
Interior & Features
Standard 8155 Chip Across the Lineup, Family-Oriented Features Fully Upgraded

The 2026 Toyota bZ3X offers both single-tone and dual-tone interior color schemes, with chrome accents added throughout the cabin to enhance the premium feel. All variants come standard with a 14.6-inch floating central display and an 8.8-inch full digital instrument cluster, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 flagship chip.
The system supports four-zone AI voice recognition, an AI smart cockpit, and eight intelligent AI assistants. For example, simply saying "Order me a latte" can complete the process from ordering to in-store pickup. Smartphone connectivity fully supports HUAWEI HiCar 5.0, ICCOA Carlink, and wireless Apple CarPlay, covering all major ecosystems.

In terms of comfort, front-seat ventilation and heating are available starting from the 520 Pro version, while an optional 8-point, 8-airbag silent massage seat system is newly introduced. Notably, from the 520 Pro onward, it is the only model in its class to simultaneously offer driver/passenger seat memory and side mirror memory.
The rear row adds folding tray tables and a factory-installed tablet interface, while the trunk gains a 12V power outlet. The bed mode has also been upgraded, allowing the driver's seat and front row to fully recline, creating a 3-meter mobile bed.
All 2026 Toyota bZ3X models come standard with a 1.14 m² panoramic glass roof with an electric sunshade. The 6 kW vehicle-to-load (V2L) function can power high-consumption devices such as induction cookers and projectors, making it ideal for camping scenarios.
In addition, a dashcam and Sentry Mode are standard across the range, utilizing intelligent driving hardware for both driving recording and parking security, greatly enhancing practicality.
Power & Range
Three Range Options Available, Up to 610 km
Power
The 2026 Toyota bZ3X offers two single-motor variants, delivering maximum outputs of 150 kW (204 hp) and 165 kW (224 hp) respectively, with peak torque figures of 200 N·m and 210 N·m. It can accelerate from 0–50 km/h in as little as 3.7 seconds, while the top speed reaches 160 km/h.
The chassis adopts a front MacPherson independent suspension and a rear torsion beam non-independent suspension, balancing ride comfort and handling stability.

Range
All variants come standard with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, available in 50.03 kWh, 58.37 kWh, and 67.92 kWh capacities, corresponding to CLTC ranges of 430 km, 520 km, and 610 km respectively.
Fast charging from 30% to 80% SOC takes only 24 minutes, while the entire lineup supports 6 kW vehicle-to-load (V2L) output, meeting a wide range of needs from daily commuting to weekend road trips.

Advanced Driver Assistance
Powered by Momenta R6, Bringing Premium Smart Driving to Entry-Level Models

Intelligent driving is the biggest highlight of this facelift. The 2026 Toyota bZ3X is equipped with the Momenta R6 reinforcement learning world model, available in both non-lidar and lidar-equipped versions.
The non-lidar version increases the number of sensors to 20, upgrades the front camera to 8 megapixels, and boosts domain controller computing power by three times. It adopts a new integrated driving-and-parking architecture, supporting fusion parking and remote parking assistance. The AEB (Automatic Emergency Braking) system can now stop the vehicle at speeds of up to 80 km/h.
The lidar version is equipped with the new-generation Hesai ATX lidar, offering a detection range of up to 200 meters, the longest in its class. Combined with next-generation millimeter-wave radar, it supports map-free navigation on highways and urban roads, and can later be upgraded to Momenta R7 via OTA updates.
With its winning combination of major-brand quality, cutting-edge technology, and family-oriented practicality, the 2026 Toyota bZ3X raises the bar once again in the RMB 100,000-class electric SUV market. It truly allows users to enjoy an above-class intelligent driving and smart cabin experience without paying a premium.
