The new energy vehicle market boasts a series of powerful "Huawei-affiliated" models, all featuring Huawei components as their main selling point. The Avatr 12 and Stelato S9 are representative examples. With similar prices, which one is the more worthwhile purchase?
Avatr 12
Speeding through the wind with pure electric four-wheel drive and lidar

Exterior Design
The 2026 Avatr 12 Ultra all-electric four-wheel drive version continues the family's "futuristic aesthetics" design concept, with a full, rounded, and futuristic overall shape. The front of the vehicle features a closed fascia paired with split C-shaped LED daytime running lights, making it highly recognizable.
The car boasts sleek side lines, featuring a fastback coupe design and frameless doors. Hidden door handles and optional electronic side mirrors further enhance its sporty stance and technological appeal.
In terms of dimensions, the Avatr 12 measures 5020/1999/1450mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 3020mm, placing it in the standard mid-to-large-sized sedan category. With a width approaching 2 meters and front and rear track widths of 1688mm and 1702mm respectively, coupled with 21-inch tires, the vehicle offers excellent stability and road performance.
Interior Design
The Avatr 12 features a minimalist design, with extensive use of soft-touch materials and genuine wood trim to create a luxurious atmosphere.
The Avatr 12 introduces a new "Rock Brown" interior color option, a sophisticated and understated black and brown combination. The interior includes a racing-style steering wheel, a 35.4-inch 4K resolution widescreen display, and a 15.6-inch floating center screen. It also comes standard with a Meridian 25-speaker sound system, delivering an immersive audio-visual experience.

Intelligent Cockpit
The Avatr 12 is equipped with the HarmonySpace 5 infotainment system, featuring a clean and smooth interface with clear and intuitive interaction logic. The system includes a vast ecosystem of built-in applications and supports a super desktop function, enabling sharing between mobile apps and the in-vehicle screen. The intelligent voice function supports fuzzy semantics and complex command recognition, even dialect recognition, and boasts four-zone voice recognition capabilities. It supports visible-to-speak and continuous dialogue, making it convenient for both front and rear passengers.
Assisted Driving
The Avatr 12 comes standard with the Huawei Qiankun ADS 4 assisted driving system, upgraded to a four-LiDAR configuration. This system includes three high-perception long-range LiDARs and one high-precision solid-state rear-facing LiDAR, with a detection range of up to 150 meters and a total horizontal field of view coverage of 300°. Combined with 11 cameras and six 4D millimeter-wave radars, it achieves 360-degree environmental perception without blind spots. The system also features VPD 2.0 parking assistance, supporting cross-level memory parking with a maximum path of 1 kilometer.

Powertrain
As a pure electric four-wheel drive version, the Avatr 12 is equipped with a dual-motor system, with a maximum power output of 165kW for the front motor and 237kW for the rear motor, resulting in a combined power output of 402kW and a torque of 687N·m. It accelerates from 0-100km/h in just 3.8 seconds and has a top speed of 220km/h.
This vehicle features a 93.4kWh ternary lithium battery pack, providing a range of 705km under CLTC conditions.
Chassis and handling
The Avatr 12 adopts a front double wishbone and rear multi-link independent suspension structure. The Ultra version is further equipped with air suspension and CDC dynamic damping shock absorbers. The stabilizer bar, shock absorbers and elastic elements in the suspension system have been upgraded.

These improvements significantly reduce vehicle pitch changes, enabling the vehicle to effectively filter out most vibrations when traversing uneven road surfaces, thus balancing handling stability and ride comfort.
Stelato S9
Travel leisurely with extended range and intelligent driving technology

Exterior Design
The 2025 Stelato S9 Extended Range Max Edition adopts the "Cosmic" design concept, boasting an elegant and sophisticated overall appearance. The front features a closed grille design, paired with C-shaped headlights and a continuous light strip, creating a clean yet technologically advanced visual effect.
The side profile is sleek and simple, featuring a fastback design and hidden door handles, resulting in a drag coefficient as low as 0.193. The rear is equipped with a nebula-style taillight with a dot-matrix pattern, creating a unique "nebula" effect when illuminated, making it highly recognizable.
In terms of dimensions, the Stelato S9 is positioned as a mid-to-large-sized sedan, measuring 5160mm in length, 2005mm in width, and 1486mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3050mm, providing a better foundation for interior space layout. The newly added "Cosmic Blue" color option and 20-inch multi-spoke star-studded wheels further enhance the vehicle's technological sophistication and luxurious feel.
Interior Features
The Stelato S9 adopts a "Star Ring Dual Terrace" design concept, equipped with a 12.3-inch LCD instrument panel, a 15.6-inch central control screen, and electronic exterior rearview mirror displays on both sides, forming a wraparound technological cockpit. The interior offers four color options: Truffle Brown, White Apricot, Amber Brown, and Midnight Black. The seats feature a Comfort Cloud design, with ventilation, heating, and massage functions as standard. Mid-to-high-end models also feature zero-gravity seats in the rear, providing a first-class comfort experience.

Intelligent Cockpit
The Stelato S9 is equipped with the HarmonyOS 4 in-vehicle infotainment system, supporting various intelligent functions such as Super Desktop 2.0, audio and video conferencing, and Maglink tablet integration. The system can directly project mobile applications onto the in-vehicle infotainment system for a seamless user experience.
Assisted Driving
The Stelato S9 is equipped with Huawei ADS 3.3 high-level intelligent driving system, featuring 4 LiDARs, including 1 192-line LiDAR and 3 high-precision solid-state radars, along with 11 cameras and 12 ultrasonic radars, enabling seamless intelligent driving across all scenarios from parking space to parking space. It performs exceptionally well in complex scenarios such as roundabout driving and road construction recognition, and can autonomously complete operations such as lane changing, deceleration, and avoidance.

Powertrain
The Stelato S9 is equipped with a 1.5T range extender, a rear-mounted motor with a maximum power of 227kW, and a 37kWh battery pack. Under CLTC conditions, the pure electric range reaches 256 kilometers, and the combined range is 1256 kilometers when fully fueled and fully charged, which basically solves users' range anxiety.
Chassis and handling
The Stelato S9 is built on the Huawei Touring platform and adopts a front double wishbone and rear multi-link suspension structure. All models are equipped with intelligent air springs and CDC continuously variable damping shock absorbers as standard. The "Eagle Eye" road pre-aiming system and DATS dynamic torque control technology can achieve adaptive anti-slip and anti-deviation on split roads.

If the Avatr 12 is Huawei's "technological vanguard," fully equipped with HarmonyOS and four LiDAR sensors, emphasizing "being one step ahead," then the Stelato S9 is a "steady veteran," prioritizing practicality with its extended range and comfortable cabin. For users, there seems to be no single best solution among Huawei vehicles, only the most suitable "Huawei ecosystem" integration.
